Culpo went dainty in a black corset-style gown with a sparkling fringe skirt. For the day one rehearsals on Friday, Culpo channeled bridalwear inspiration in an off-the-shoulder Jacquemus La Robe short dress. The model, who won the Miss Universe competition in 2012, is engaged to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.
Former “The Real” talk show host went minimalist in a black bodycon gown featuring an asymmetrical cutout. Mai, who’s hosting stints include “Today”, “Extra TV” and “Entertainment Tonight,” completed her outfit with sparkling jewelry. During the rehearsals, Mai went monochromatic in a beige cargo skirt with utilitarian pockets.
Menounos made a sparkling arrival to the pageant, donning a tribal-themed skirt set from Celia Kritharioti’s spring 2023 couture collection. This year’s competition marked her first time hosting the event. Menounos went sharp to the rehearsals on Friday, wearing a tailored Alexander Wang belted blazer dress.
R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss Universe 2022, crowned Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios as the 2023 winner.
The global competition, which was streamed on Roku and Telemundo, also featured multiple historic moments- including mothers, transgender women and plus-size contestants.
The pageant featured contestants from 86 countries, a performance by John Legend, along with Clarisse Designs as the official sponsor for the opening number and Lebanese jewelry company Mouawad returning as the official jeweler.
